This is a great hike for beginners because the distance to the mountain hut is relatively short and on easy terrain. This part of the Hachimantai mountains opens in mid-April and the drive through the high snow walls is worth the trip. You’ll have lots of hiking opportunities and will overnight in a comfortable mountain hut. There is a mandatory pre-trip safety and equipment issue meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 18 at the Outdoor Recreation Center.
This tour includes transportation, a guide, backpack, sleeping pad & bag, and headlamps.
