Outdoor Recreation is now open Saturdays 8 a.m.–Noon

Base Beach Opening 

Saturday, May 25
Gate 5 a.m.–8 p.m.
Rental Office 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, the Base Beach officially opens for powerboat, pontoon boat, jet ski, canoe and kayak rentals. You can reserve beach facilities such as the pavilions, the Yuko Cabin or other cabins by calling ODR at 226-9378.

Recharge for Resiliency (R4R) Discount eligibility

R4r discount prices are for Active Duty Military an their family members assigned to Misawa Air Base. Verification in the form of a miliary/family member ID must be provided at time of enrollments.

  • Regular tour pricing applies to guests not eligible for R4R discounts.
  • Trips purchased at the R4R discount may not be transferred to non-eligible persons.
  • R4R discounts apply only to scheduled ODR programs and activites. Custom group and organizational tours are not eligible for this discount.

Single Airman Programs

Enrollment Policy 

  • Each eligible Airman may enroll herself/himself and ONE additional Airman.


  • Open to single or unaccompanied Active Duty US Military assigned or atached to Misawa Air Base. 
  • Includes all services and ranks. 
  • Guests are NOT permitted.

Outdoor Recreation Programs

Enrollment Policy

  • Each person may enroll themselves, a spouse and all family members assigned or attached to Misawa Air Base.
  • In addition to family members, you may enroll ONE guest.


  • Open to all active duty military members and their families. DoD civilians, retirees and contractors.
  • Some age limitations may apply to specific programs.
  • JASDF personnel are eligible to participate (full program prices apply)
  • AFI 34-101 Air Force Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Programs and Use Eligibility.

Team Misawa Programs

Enrollment Policy

Each person may enroll himself/herself, a spouse and one guest. Navy personnel must enroll at the Navy Liberty Office, Building 980. 


  • Open to all Active Duty military membes and their spouses, ages 18 and over only. 
  • Navy personnel must sign up at the Navy Liberty Office Building 980.
  • Adults ONLY.

COST: Trip costs are based on the destination and number of participants. Always working weekends? We can arrange any of our popular adventure activities for your group on a day more convenient for you. Minimum participation numbers and 7–14 days advance booking is required, depending on the activity. Give us a call for more information.

Team Misawa Overnight Trips

These awesome overnight trips are a collaboration between the Single Airman and Navy Liberty Programs and are offered monthly. Single Airmen, ask about this month’s trip or sign up at the Outdoor Recreation Center. Single Sailors, please visit the Navy Liberty Office, Bldg. 980 for trip information or to sign up.
